Tick tock around the clock
I wonโ€™t need to pick this lock
Tick tock around the clock
The key to it is in my sock
Tick tock around the clock
I make Chinese food in my wok
Tick tock around the clock
Valets parked my car down the block
Tick tock around the clock
Before I enter I always knock
Tick tock around the clock
Is there somewhere we can talk?

I made a hopscotch with some chalk
I didnt have much time to gawk

Lol I loved this onel

I would like to mention Aquib as well .

My Answer:

Tick tock around the clock

I guess I’m stuck

Tick tock around the clock

Hey my dear Novus.
I would opt for wood because of the phrase โ€œold is goldโ€. You would ask โ€œwhy soโ€, even if you donโ€™t being a good human its my top most priority to share my secret and precious secrets.
So itโ€™s all about execution of you lose focus and will, you are already โ€œout of the gameโ€.
From the medieval time wood has been a primary source of fire or energy for cooking, itโ€™s quite a fun too to burn these and start a good fire, it requires skill, you know!. Smoke donโ€™t matter that much, itโ€™s a momentary thing, only for a jiff, after the ignition point is reached smoke is becomes smokeless.
And then baking can be done.
Itโ€™s cost effective, quick. Food are cooked slowly so itโ€™s more tastier and food cooked on fire have a different aura it adds quite a amazing flavour that no however expensive is the electric oven, can give.
Wood, nature all the time.

I would like to memtion Myra’s panorama as well for her lovely answer.

My Answer:

I would chose the electric oven and prepare a quick cooking cake.

Assuming the future is good, I find my relatives and through DNA prove Iโ€™m their ancestor. They help me learn what happened with my kids, and teach me the new technology and what has changed. I become a lecturer, talking about my life in the 21st century. I write a book about my experiences and itโ€™s turned into a virtual reality movie. Eventually, after life extending rejuvenation treatments, I meet a wonderful woman who completes me, and I settle down with her and explore the planets, life and sensuous pleasures together.

My answer :
Finding oneself a few centuries into the future is not an easy thing. It means that I don’t exist and that I don’t know anyone around me. Well I’ll take a good look around me to see how the society lives. I probably have to spend a night or two outside, till I find a house of God. I’ll try to seek shelter in it  for a few days till I find the right person to tell the truth. I’ll probably enjoy myself among new tech and have some fun. If there is no way to come back I’ll ask for a job if the humans still work or I’ll take my chances to live as a lone wolf.

Haha because youโ€™re from the UK, โ€œa few birdsโ€ made me laugh. Then I saw Rope and Leather Straps and my mind went to placesโ€ฆ Lol
Once I cleaned up a little, ๐Ÿ˜‚ I made my choice, but Linda made the main one already.
Money, enough to hire a tree service plus more
Phone, for calling the tree service, plus ordering some food and supplies, a table, and other things
Water, in bottles, for everyone to drink
A few birds, haha, to serve everyone
And a turkey, fully cooked, placed on the table I ordered, next to the catering I ordered, feasted upon by the friends I called with the phone, inviting you all to dinner. The workers can have some too.

My Answer :

I must say that i was a little bewildered that  everyone chose money, even though it’s the right answer. Because it wasn’t meant to be that easy. The purpose of this question was how to cut a tree with rudimentary tools. That’s why I proposed a stone, an iron pole, a cow….

So my answer is:

I would take the pole and secure it with the stone by some leather straps, then I’ll tie some leather straps to the cow. After hitting the tree with the pole/stone and making a good cut , I’ll make knot around it  with the rope and tie it to the cow, for this one will pull the tree (well ahead of it of course) and make it fall.

First of all, thank you for being so numerous this Sunday. I see that some of you chose ‘a bag’ for different reasons perhaps. But there must be only one Winner.

I must thank Mel for her imagination, of what was in the bag. Actually I forgot to mention that the bag was empty. So thank you Mel for the idea.

The knife. You can fold up your shirt to carry stuff if you need to. Matches might be useful if you were on a cold desert island, but most arenโ€™t cold. The knife could be used to cut or kill. Either way, you have a possibility of eating something.

But I must mention Ward Clever for his choice, please read it if you have time. It’s a clever description on why he chose fire. If i were lost on an island i would love to have him nearby, we could share tools ๐Ÿ˜‰

My Answer:

The bag is useful of course to carry water , wood , food … but we can make a bag out of an animal’s skin.

The matches are extremely useful because we can eat cooked food, we can protect ourselves from predators or make a rescue signal. But we can make fire with special rocks or wood.

The knife is vital to make tools out of wood or bones, to hunt, to skin an animal, to make a raft, or to protect oneself in a close combat .

So I’ll chose the Knife.
