Some stories

Reading the Bible, I’ve found stories that are obviously found in the Quran too. Some were narrated differently and some were repeated multiple times.

In the Old Testament there are too many details that the stories sound like human writing rather than a divine message. And these details that are way too many could have been added to enhance God’s word or to give more excitement/entertainment to the reader. Here I’ll give you the first of a few that I’ll be posting.

This is one of the stories, unfortunately you won’t read the final part of the Bible’s version as I’m disgusted and ashamed to post it on my blog. But you may search for it if you are willing to do so.

Genesis 19:1-31 (KJV)

And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;
And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant’s house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.
And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.
But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:
And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.
And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him,
And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.
Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.
And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door.
But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door.
And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.
And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:
For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.
And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.
And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.
And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.
And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.
And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my Lord:
Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:
Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.
And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken.
Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.
The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.
Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;
And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.
But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.
And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the LORD:
And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.
And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt.
And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters with him; for he feared to dwell in Zoar: and he dwelt in a cave, he and his two daughters.
And the firstborn said unto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth:

Genesis 19:32-38 (censored)


The Rock 15:62-75

And when the envoys came to the family of Lot.
He said, “You are a people unknown to me”
They said, “We bring you what they have doubts about.”
“We bring you the truth, and we are truthful.”
“Travel with your family at the dead of the night, and follow up behind them, and let none of you look back, and proceed as commanded.”
And We informed him of Our decree: the last remnant of these will be uprooted by early morning.
And the people of the town came joyfully.
He said, “These are my guests, so do not embarrass me.”
“And fear God, and do not disgrace
me.”
They said, “Did we not forbid you from strangers?”
He said, “These are my daughters, if you must.”
By your life, they were blundering in their drunkenness.
So the Blast struck them at sunrise.
And We turned it upside down, and rained down upon them stones of baked clay
Surely in that is a lesson for those who read signs.

The Elevation 7 :80-84

And Lot, when he said to his people, “Do you commit lewdness no people anywhere have ever committed before you?”
“You lust after men rather than women. You are an excessive people.”
And his people’s only answer was to say, “Expel them from your town. They are purist people.”
But We saved him and his family, except for his wife; she was of those who lagged behind.
And We rained down on them a rain;
note the consequences for the sinners

Hud 11:77-82

And when Our envoys came to Lot, he was anxious for them, and concerned for them. He said, “This is a dreadful day.”
him—they were in the habit of committing sins. He said, “O my people, these are my daughters; they are purer for you. So

fear God, and do not embarrass me before my guests. Is there not one reasonable man among you?”
They said, “You know well that we have no right to your daughters, and you know well what we want.”

He said, “If only I had the strength to stop you, or could rely on some strong support.”
They said, “O Lot, we are the envoys of your Lord; they will not reach you. So set out with your family during the cover of the night, and let none of you look back, except for your wife. She will be struck by what will strike them. Their appointed time is the morning. Is not the morning near?”

And when Our command came about, We turned it upside down, and We rained down on it stones of baked clay.

People of the book – part 21 (song of Salomon)

2/ The word Muhammadim is mentioned a few times in the Bible. Its translation is “altogether lovely” or ‘The Praised One’. Hence in other places the word Muhammadim really means “altogether lovely”. In Arabic too, it means the praised one. But…. In this chapter of the Bible It doesn’t. It refers to a person in my opinion.

Here it is:

Song of Solomon 5:16 :
His mouth is most sweet: yea, he is “altogether lovely” . This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem.

The Hebrew word used there is Muhammuddim. The end letters IM is plural of respect majesty and grandeur used in Hebrew. Minus “im” the name is Muhamud.

Now let’s read all of it:

Songs of Salomon 5: 1-16

1 I am come into my garden, my sister, my spouse: I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk: eat, O friends; drink, yea, drink abundantly, O beloved.

2 I sleep, but my heart waketh: it is the voice of my beloved that knocketh, saying, Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled: for my head is filled with dew, and my locks with the drops of the night.

3 I have put off my coat; how shall I put it on? I have washed my feet; how shall I defile them?

4 My beloved put in his hand by the hole of the door, and my bowels were moved for him.

5 I rose up to open to my beloved; and my hands dropped with myrrh, and my fingers with sweet smelling myrrh, upon the handles of the lock.

6 I opened to my beloved; but my beloved had withdrawn himself, and was gone: my soul failed when he spake: I sought him, but I could not find him; I called him, but he gave me no answer.

7 The watchmen that went about the city found me, they smote me, they wounded me; the keepers of the walls took away my veil from me.

8 I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, if ye find my beloved, that ye tell him, that I am sick of love.

9 What is thy beloved more than another beloved, O thou fairest among women? what is thy beloved more than another beloved, that thou dost so charge us?

10 My beloved is white and ruddy, the chiefest among ten thousand.

11 His head is as the most fine gold, his locks are bushy, and black as a raven.

12 His eyes are as the eyes of doves by the rivers of waters, washed with milk, and fitly set.

13 His cheeks are as a bed of spices, as sweet flowers: his lips like lilies, dropping sweet smelling myrrh.

14 His hands are as gold rings set with the beryl: his belly is as bright ivory overlaid with sapphires.

15 His legs are as pillars of marble, set upon sockets of fine gold: his countenance is as Lebanon, excellent as the cedars.

16 His mouth is most sweet: yea, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem.

Some say, it is the wife of Salomon who speaks about her husband. How can this be if “The watchmen that went about the city found her, they smote her, they wounded her; the keepers of the walls took away her veil from her.” unless they wanted to be sentenced to death! This is not acceptable.
It is easily seen that this woman was in love of someone who wasn’t present, who didn’t exist yet. But she knew his name was Muhammed.

People of the book – part 20

One thing that I feel that I have to mention. Among all the prophecies in the Bible that speak about the coming of Muhammed, I’ve kept the most obvious to me. As I don’t think that you would believe if I’ve written the others here too. So I’ve kept two. Which is rejected by the Christians who obviously wouldn’t want it to be referring to the last Prophet.


1/ Nevertheless I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you”.

John 16.7

“Ahmed” or “Muhammad” meaning “the one who praises” or “the praised one” is almost the translation of the Greek word Periclytos. In the Gospel of John 14:16, 15:26, and 16:7. The word ‘Comforter’ is used in the English translation for the Greek word Paracletos which means advocate or a kind friend rather than a comforter.
Paracletos is the warped reading for Periclytos. The Greek word Paraclete clearly refers to the last Prophet who is a mercy for all creatures. Here is why:

Some Christians say that the Comforter mentioned in these prophecies refers to the Holy Sprit. They fail to realise
that the prophecy clearly says that only IF Jesus departs will the Comforter come.
The Bible states that the Holy Spirit was already present on earth before and during the time of Jesus , for instance when Jesus was being baptised. Hence this prophecy refers to none other than someone who wasn’t already present, i.e Prophet Muhammad.

John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me.

This is another proof, doesn’t Islam testify that Jesus was sent from God and that he was a miracle of Him? Of course it does! That’s exactly what this verse says.

People of the Book – part 15

The Jews were expecting a single Messiah not two.
Please note that three different and distinct questions were posed to John the Baptist and to which he gave three emphatic “NO’S” as answers. To recapitulate:

1) ART THOU THE CHRIST?
2) ART THOU ELIAS?
3) ART THOU THAT PROPHET?

But the learned men of Christendom somehow only see two questions implied here. To make doubly clear that the Jews definitely had T-H-R-E-E separate prophecies in their minds when they were interrogating John the Baptist, let us read the remonstrance of the Jews in the verses following:
“and they asked him, and said unto him, why baptizest thou then, if thou be
a) NOT THAT CHRIST,
b) NOR ELIAS,
c) NEITHER THAT PROPHET?” (John 1:25)

The Jews were waiting for the fulfillment of THREE distinct prophecies: One, the coming of CHRIST. Two the coming of ELIAS, and Three, the coming of THAT PROPHET.
If we look up any Bible which has a concordance or cross-references, the we will find in the marginal note where the words “the Prophet”, or “that Prophet” occur in John 1:25, that these words refer to the prophecy of Deuteronomy 18:15 and 18. And that ‘that prophet’ – ‘the prophet like Moses’ – “LIKE UNTO THEE”, we have proved through overwhelming evidence that he was MUHUMMED and not Jesus!

We Muslims are not denying that Jesus was the “Messiah”, which word is translated as “Christ”. We are not contesting the “thousand and one prophecies” which the Christians claim abound in the Old Testament foretelling the coming of the Messiah. What we say is that Deuteronomy 18:18 does NOT refer to Jesus Christ but it is an explicit prophecy about the Holy Prophet MUHUMMED!”

If these are the only two criteria for discovering a candidate for this prophecy of Deuteronomy 18:18, then in that case the criteria could fit any one of the following Biblical personages after Moses: Solomon, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Malachi, John the Baptist etc., because they were also ALL “Jews” as well as “Prophets”.
Why should we not apply this prophecy to any one of these prophets, and why only to Jesus? Why should we make fish of one and fowl of another?”

You see, my conclusions are that Jesus is most unlike Moses, and if I am wrong I would like you to correct me.
Let’s analyse them:

In the FIRST place Jesus is not like Moses, because, according to You – ‘JESUS IS A GOD’, but Moses is not God. Right? Therefore, Jesus is not like Moses!

SECONDLY, ‘Jesus died for the sins of the world’, but Moses did not have to die for the sins of the world. Did he? Therefore Jesus is not like Moses

THIRDLY, according to You – ‘Jesus went to hell for three days’, but Moses did not have to go there. Did he ? Therefore Jesus is not like Moses either.

But these are not hard facts, solid facts, they are mere matters of belief over which the little ones can stumble and fall. Let us discuss something very simple, very easy that if your little ones are called in to hear the discussion, would have no difficulty in following it, shall we?
